Functions of the ground sensor

The GGS soil sensor measures the temperature, the WC (water content) and the’EC (electrical conductivity) of the substrate.
It provides accurate data on soil conditions to optimize the growing environment for plants.

Optimize your irrigation schedule

Pair it with GGS AC5 Power Strip Kit or at the GGS AC10 Power Strip Kit from Spider Farmer with a drip irrigation system to significantly improve efficiency and ease of use.
You can set a target soil moisture level or customize watering cycles for fully automated irrigation.

Irrigation triggers and settings

a. Trigger parameters
Based on the humidity level measured by the sensor, you can set a watering trigger value.
When watering for the first time, it is recommended that you wait until water begins to drain out the bottom of the grow bag, and then check the moisture level.
The trigger value should generally be set between 60 % and 80 % at this level.

b. Recommended accessories
For more advanced automation, pair the GGS sensor with a GGS power strip and a drip irrigation system.
When humidity reaches the set threshold, the system automatically determines whether watering is necessary.

Pro Version vs. Standard Version

a. Standard Version
Supports a single sensor and does not allow you to select the soil type. Ideal for small installations.

b. Pro Version
Supports up to 6 sensors and allows you to select different types of substrates, with models optimized to improve the accuracy of moisture measurements.
Ideal for larger-scale installations.

Directions for Use

Insert the probe horizontally in the ground.
It is recommended to place it about 1/3 of the height from the grow bag, as close as possible to the root zone.
